Our self-catering accommodation is located within easy reach of a diverse range of local attractions and activities. There’s plenty to do for families, couples and groups of friends, with sports, walking, group activities and more just a stone’s throw away. And when it comes to dining, there are plenty of great pubs and restaurants in the local area to explore.

Pubs & Restaurants

Our closest pub - The Miners Arms - is a stunning one-mile walk across the fields, and there are plenty more beyond that to try.

Family-Friendly Attractions

We're surrounded by fun things for children to do. There's Matlock Farm Park where you can pet the animals, Thornbridge Hall where you can hook a duck, Heights of Abraham where you can ride a cable car and the Lead Mining Museum where you can pan for gold. We'll share plenty of ideas.

Cycling and Cycle Hire

There are three amazing cycle trails literally on our doorstep and you can either bring your own bike or hire locally. We'll let you know the full details.

Water Sports

You can try a range of water sports on Carsington Water and the River Derwent. Sailing, paddleboarding, canoeing, white water rafting, there are infinite choices.

Historical Sites

We have some 'very' famous houses with amazing histories in Derbyshire - Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Eyam has become even more meaningful since the pandemic. There's plenty to explore.

Local Produce

We've many local producers that have tours and tastings - distilleries, breweries, cheese makers, farms - try out some of the best Derbyshire has to offer.
