Derwent Cottage

THREE BEDROOM COTTAGE FOR SIX PEOPLE (+ A BABY OR INFANT IN A TRAVEL COT)

Derwent is one of the larger cottages featuring three double bedrooms that can be configured with either double or single beds.

Newly renovated in the winter of 2019/2020 - the space has been reconfigured to provide a significantly larger living area and kitchen, while the two upstairs bedrooms and one downstairs bedroom are now all generously proportioned.  

 

The large open-plan living area comprises a kitchen with all modern conveniences (dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine), dining area with seating for six, and a lounge area also with seating for six and a log burner.  

 

The newly renovated bathroom includes a shower over a bath.

 

Outside there is a private patio area with chairs and a Weber barbeque, overlooking the countryside and duck pond.

Open Plan Living

The open plan living/dining room with a kitchenette, contains the following:

  • Sofas to comfortably seat six people

  • Dining room table with chairs that seats six. 

  • Television with FreeView television and a DVD player.  (An extensive collection of DVDs is available to borrow in the games room)

  • Log burner 

The room is tastefully decorated with coordinated soft furnishings.

Kitchen

The kitchenette has the following equipment:

  • Oven, hob, Microwave, Dishwasher, Toaster, Kettle, Nespresso Coffee machine and washing machine.

  • Cookware for six people

  • Glasses for six people (champagne, wine, high ball, pint glasses)

  • Crockery and cutlery for up to six people (including large, medium and small plates, two different types of bowls and mugs)

We also leave dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing up cloths, bin bags, compost holder, tea towels and oven gloves.

Bedrooms

There is one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. 

  • Bedroom 1 - King-size double bed with two bedside tables, chest of drawers, and wardrobe.  

  • Bedroom 2 - two single beds with bedside tables, chest of drawers, and wardrobe.  

  • Bedroom 3 - King-size double bed.

Bathroom

The bathroom is on the ground floor and accessed from a small corridor.  It has the following:

  • Shower over bath

  • Sink

  • Toilet

  • Heated towel rail

  • Underfloor heating

  • Mirror over the sink

  • Refillable toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. 

  • Towels are included for six people.

Outside

  • Outside, there are is a private, fenced patio area accessed through the backdoor of the Cottage which is bathed in sun throughout the day and overlooking the cottage gardens.

  • We’ve provided an outdoor table and chairs for six and a Weber Barbecue.

  • Due to the enclosed nature of this outdoor area - it’s ideal for dogs, as they can be left outside unsupervised.
